 Outlook folder for replies?		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

How can I save the reply in an Outlook folder of my choice (which I would like to default to the same folder as the original message is moved to)?
Or is this asking too much?

I realise the reply is saved in CruiseControl's Mail History folder.
Is there a way to move items from Mail History to an Outlook folder?

The reason for these questions is that I'm not sure that CruiseControl can completely replace Outlook hence I want to be able to use them in parallel.

Hi Adrian

Under View>Options, Processing you can specify the option to be prompted for a destination folder after a message has been replied/forwarded/archived in Cruise Control

That's an interesting point. I can see where you'd almost want Cruise Control to use Outlook's folders, rather than its own. So that Cruise Control processes the mail, but doesn't store it seperately from Outlook.

This is important since I have seperate folders for topics, accounts, clients, etc. within Outlook. So it naturally makes sense that the processed reponses by Cruise Control would be there too.

Hi

Cruise Control always maintains its (received/sent) messages in Outlook (assuming you are not using the deletion option), but maintains a copy in its database. This is so that it can perform rapid searches against its own database rather than using Outlook glacial brute-force search.

Nigel - that makes sense.
You said CC maintains its receved/sent messages in Outlook.
The received messages - fine - but I couldn't see where in Outlook the sent messages are filed.
Can you help?

Sorry i neglected to mention the assumption with that statement was that you were the Outlook sending method, in which case your messages will appear in Outlook's sent items folder.
