Hi

How can I tell from this website what the latest version of Mlist King is available so I can tell if I need to upgrade?

Is there a Change History for versions of the software somewhere so it is is possible to track bugs that have been fixed. This helps when reading about bugs in the forum; being able to check from the Change History if they have been fixed or not?

thanks

achintya

Hi Achintya

The current version if always shown at the top of the MailList King page, and next to the links on the download page.

You can also view the change list at:

www.xequte.com/maillistking/changes.html

Also, we normally send an email to all MLK customers when an update is released (unless it is very minor).

Hi

I see the latest version now. But the changes link is pretty well buried inside the upgrade page. I think it would be really handy to have that link on one of the drop down menu's on the main page?

A lot of forums have a space where people can request new features, or report bugs, and often the 'change list' is included as a sticky item in that area - so it is possible to see a list of requested new features, and map them against the new features in the current version. This would also help people no make requests for new features if they are already included in the latest version?

This would, I think, add a lot to the upgrade/changes/new features area of this very good product. As it stands, it feels a bit 'one way' with not a lot of user contribution or involvement in the evolution of the product?

Just some thoughts

Hi Achintya

We do post a message on this forum with details of new releases. Here is the one for v6.28:

http://www.xequte.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2186

Also, a number of users post feature requests on this forum and/or add their feedback when someone else suggests a feature they like. It is one of the main ways we decide on what new features to implement.

If you have some ideas for improvement, please feel free to post them here and let us know.
