Its possible to include videos in a Pixplay project but I have noticed that you cant actually include too long videos and the duration of the videos is not always the right one so that you cant synchronize the sound properly. An other thing, if you want to keep the sound of a video, how must you do? The "help" says that you have to put the video(s) at the beginning of the slideshow...but if you want to insert them among pictures??? I have found a way to keep the sound of videos: I have recorded the sound from my videos and then I have included them in the sound track using "audacity" which you can mix several sounds with Has anybody an experience with videos in Pixplay? Thanks |

Hi
The length of the videos should not make a difference but DVD PixPlay may have problems with some non-standard video types. If you are having problems you might want to convert them to MPEG first.

Thank you, Nigel, for your answer But there so many MPEG formats! which one do I have to choose? I use AVS video converter and it proposes me several MPEG formats! I tried several ways and some seemed to work but I dont remember which ones! Can you give me some piece of advise?
I had an other question about sound in videos You told me to put the videos at the beginning of the slideshow if I wanted to keep the soundtrack of the videos! But you may want to include some videos among pictures, not necessarely at the beginning... Using the preview mode, I had the sound of the video, but when I burnt the slideshow, the soundtrack of the video had disappeared?? So I recorded it with "aliveMP3recorder" and then I included in the sound of my slideshow, but of course, the synchronisation is not perfect; there is half a second difference between the sound and the images Did I do something wrong? Read you soon!

Hi
Standard MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 should both be fine.
At this time DVD PixPlay does not have good support for video sound track. As mentioned, you can only here it if your videos appear before any videos in the slideshow. It may playback when previewing (which is due to a limitation in the way we handle video preview), but will not appear when burned to disk unless it is before the images.
