Slidshow Generation Seemingly long

Hi Nigel
I created a slide show with a total of 191 images including a title
at start and one at the end. Total duration 22min,24sec. Background music 13 files totaling in 22min,23sec. A total 1,016 MB large.
Now:
When I initiate the test (on DVD) I encouter what seems to be a very long generation time at first it goes well add then after about 10 Sec or so it starts stalling It looked thow it is normal but then it takes longer as time passes (10 to 30 min) the task manager shows about 50% CPU usage but what is more puzzeling, it shows "NOT RESPONDING" Status and Then agin "RUNNING" Constantly switching between Statuses. I that Right So?
My Computer has a 3.00 Mhz Dual Core Pentium ang 2 GB of RAM
on Windows XP Home Edition
I tried to Clear The Cashe and Increased The Tumbnail to 1000
How Long should it take? I have the feeling it was Shorter before(About 15 Min)

The actual burning to disk will probably take less than a half hour depending on your burner speed. The slow part is when outputting your slideshow to disk generally the encoding part, where your music, videos and images and transitions are all converted into a single video file to make them playback on DVD players. That task is very CPU intensive so if you do not have a fast PC with lots of ram it can take quite a while, however, your pc is fast BUT you should close all other running programs.

The main option in DVD PixPlay that affects this is the output quality setting. Highest quality can literally take up to 2 to 10 times as long as normal quality so you should only use it if you are not satisfied with the standard quality.
