I had an issue where if I burned a DVD from the PixPLay software it worked on all my players except for one portable player I have. If I output to a file and then use another package to burn the DVD it works on everything I have.
I'm not an expert, but I'm a little confused on how the burn process can have this affect on compatibility. Anyone else seen the same thing?
I only bring this up because I'd be somewhat concerned about handing out a created project to family members if I thought there might be limitations to the compatibiltiy on various units.
PixPlay is still the best even with this issue!!! |

No DVD player or software will work 100% all the time, but Pixplay is good 99.993% of the time!!!!!

It's a late answer, but I think you have a "Media" issue. Cheep media
can cause inconsistancy in results. The best,in my oppinion, is to buy a reputable Brand from a reliable source.
About Burning with another package.I found out that when I burned my shows with anoter pack (NERO) the burning process was quicker have seen no difference in quality so far.

Cheap generic disks are a big support issue, because it is very difficult for us to differentiate between a hardware incompatibility and a failure due to a bad disk.
If I had a $1 for every time that someone told me that when they changed disk brands the problem went away, then i wouldn't need to charge for DVD PixPlay at all 
We recommend that you start with good name disks, and then - when you know the process works - try using the cheap generic ones if you need to save a few bucks.

I agree with you one hundred percent, about the "saving": time lost on bad material is invaluable and non replacebale.
