Nigel,

My computer rebooted in the middle of a send earlier today. I ran the database tool and resumed sending the emails. However, I'm getting the following error.

"Resource temporarily unavailable [user] (#4.9.0)"

It also gave me some errors regarding creating temporary tables:

"An error was encountered creating your temporary tables: Missing table name."

and

"An error was encountered creating your temporary tables: DBISAM Engine Error # 13060 The Table" already exists".

The errors regarding tables have not reoccurred - but the resource one continues to plague me. It also affected by Outlook for a period of time (at least I think it was related). Any thoughts?

Hi Ian

It sounds like a transient error with your ISP. Have you contacted them to determine why it might be occuring?

Hi Nigel,

You're right - it was my ISP. Turns out they put a cap on the maximum number of outgoing emails in a 24 hour period through the SMTP server. I had reached the max but didn't get any warning - so I was madly resending without success. By the next day it had resolved itself (or at least the count had reset). There was no documentation anywhere to support the cap so I only found out through trial and error.

Now I'm shopping for a new ISP...

Hi Ian

If you don't want to change ISPs you might consider using another SMTP service. Some are listed at:

http://www.xequte.com/support/maillistkingfaq.html#11

Or you can use the scheduled/batch sending function to limit the speed at which you send out your messages (i.e. to stay under your ISP's limits). On the message sending toolbar click the small down button beside the "Send Message" button. Then click the Scheduled/Batch sending option.
