I am a newbie when it comes to this kind of software.I have been using Windows Movie Maker as a learning tool to capture my thousands of photos and put music to them.
Then I began searching for a different kind of program. This one looks extremely promising for several reasons it looks user friendly and i am impressed with the feature of having a forum. And the price is affordable.
The Windows Movie Maker only plays back on a dvd player using High Mat format.
My cheapo dvd player uses dolby digital-dts and MP3 and also Kodak Picture cd\i love seeing my photos on the big screen using my Kodak software.Thats why i wanted to add the music feature.
Currently I only have a cd burner and not a dvd burner yet.So my question is if i purchase this software will my compiled audio/photo play on my current dvd player?
Should I consider purchasing a different dvd player so I can see and listen to my burned cd`s?
PS I hope this is the correct forum for this question. Thanks so much for any help and responses.

LIZ

To find out the compatability of your dvd player go to the following link and insert your make and model number. Also please tell us what xequte program you are planning to use.

JIM,
thank for your response/Great info on this forum.Just what I`ve needed.

I didn`t think mine would play the cd`s i wanted it to since it doesn`t play the burned dvd things my brother has sent.Guess its time for a different dvd player.I went to the link you provided it won`t its an older model so i didn`t really have my hopes up.Have had to get a new radio that the cd player plays my burned music.

I am thinking about buying the xequte dvd pixplay i was reading here about earlier.then the next question would be do i just need to get a dvd player that is compatable to play cd from this program? What is the format that this program uses? Can a cd only be played on a computer?I`m wanting to see mine on the large tv screen vs the computer monitor although I do have a nice size lcd monitor.

Like i wrote the windows Movie maker that comes with win xp tells me it will only play on a dvd player in High Mat format. So i looked that up and so far only panasonic dvd players use that there may be others haven`t found it yet though.thanks for any info or links i can use to figure this out.I don`t want to buy a program I can`t use on a dvd player, since I think i all ready realized i need a new model anyway.

Hi Liz

Assuming your computer supports burning of DVD disks then most DVD players will be suitable. Just check on the box that it supports DVD-R or DVD+R (DVD-RW and DVD+RW are also OK).
