I've just started using PixPlay, and am quite impressed with it for the most part.
I've run into a couple of minor issues that I'd like to mention, and find out what you can tell me about them.

I'm running v3.32 of PixPlay.

When I try to sort the images in the "Select Images and Videos" window, I run into trouble with the "Sort by Creation Date" option.
It seems that the program is translating my "Sort by Creation Date" request into a "Sort Randomly" request. This problem is very repeatable, and applies only to "Sort by Creation Date". All the other sorts work as expected.

Secondly, and unrelated is a problem that I am having with my videos. My camera creates movies in Quick Time format. These videos are not showing up in the list of videos under either "Show Videos" or "Show Images and Videos". I assume that PixPlay simply does not support the Quick Time format. Am I misunderstanding anything? Is there any plan to support this format?

Thanks for any information on the above two problems.

I have tried both sites suggested for converting .mpg video and one converted my .mpg file to .avi, but no sound, and the other conversion to .avi was not recognized by DVD PixPlay.
Any other suggestions?

Hi Jim

Do you have a small test file you can sent to me for analysis.

You can send it to me via DropLoad if it is too big for e-mail (e.g. more than 3 MB):

Hi Andy

1. Yes, that is a bug in v3.32, we'll have a fix in the next update.

2. Presently QuickTime format is not supported (we plan to add it to a future release). You will need to convert it to a video format supported by DVD PixPlay, such as MPEG or AVI.

You can convert your files online (for free) at:

http://media-convert.com/ (50MB Limit)
http://www.zamzar.com/ (100MB Limit)

Or you can download free conversion software from www.Videohelp.com

I don't suppose there is a scheduled date for the next update yet?

Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy

I can't say at this time because it requires major development work and we have higher priority features to implement first (such as DVD menus).
