Big problem!

I copied and pasted my newsletter into MLK. The links were formatted correctly. However, when I sent out a test email to myself and tried to open the links, the links has been changed somehow by the MLK program, and did not work. Why would MLK change the links? How can I fix this problem? Someone please help!

Hi

Did you click the Preview button in the message sending dialog before delivery to check the format of the text you had pasted?

Did the links work there?

If you didn't test it, reproduce the pasting steps now and let me know how it previews.

Also where did you copy the text from?

Hi

Thanks for emailing me further details. Please email me your source HTML file that you created in Composer. Please also advise what version of Internet Explorer you are using.

I just previewed it- yes, the links work correctly in the preview. Everything seems to work fine until I try to open the links from the email itself. I copied and pasted from netscape composer. any suggestions?

Hi

The cause appears to be that there are non-standard characters in the links and they are not encoded correctly when sent via email. Below you mention the character is an equals sign, but this should not present such a problem, so please e-mail me your source HTML file for testing.

I emailed the html file to you. Did you receive it? I previewed it and it worked fine. It did not work when I tried to open it after I had received in in explorer or firefox. My business is depending on this- please respond ASAP!

Hmmm, please email me the log file for this sending task.

Run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I. Choose the option to display your database folder and then browse to the folder "SendLogs"

In that folder your log files are named "mail_sent_*.txt" with the date of the delivery included in the name. Find the files of the relevant date and send them to me.

In the meantime, try changing changing your sending method under View>Options, Sending. If the problem is in MLK (and I haven't had this error reported before) then that should resolve it.

The links won't work on my Internet Explorer 7.057, but if I get an email with the same link my computer will let me then go to that page. How can I fix this?

Is this issue somehow related to "metroplexmusic@yahoo.com"'s one above?

Or is it a different issue?
