Nigel,

Can files be attaced when messages are sent RAC? (Can't find anything on the documenttion one way or the other.)

I did find the ability to attach files with member sending. I'm now thinking maybe instead of sending messages with RAC what I really should be using is member sending and limiting it to just one address. What do you think?
Is the security in sending just based on email address?
No password is needed like with RAC?
Do you have a feature comparison of what can be done with member sending vs. RAC?

With member sending can you use the veriables such at %name%?

Downloaded, it, but look like the same ver. 7.13r (File size is the same.) Attachements still not working.

Remind me how to creat a log file for you?

Hmmm, peculiar.

Please download again from the v7.31 link i sent you (which will now give you build 805).

If it does not send attachments with that release generate me a debug log.

Nigel,

Options, Delivery Failure. Enable the delivery failure processing option "Automaticly Process Deliver Failue Messages" was checked

And Member sending disabled (View > Options, Disabled) was unchecked.

Didn't need to make any changes, attachemets are not being sent.

Sorry in v7.31 it's View > Options, Delivery Failure. Enable the delivery failure processing option.

Hmmm, do you have:
- Undeliverable message processing disabled (View > Options, Undeliverable)

I'm not finding Options, Undeliverable can you giv emore info on where to find it?

And
- Member sending disabled (View > Options, Disabled)
Yes

I'm sending the message via RAC. The message is being sent, less the attachement.

Hi Douggg

What method do you use for message retrieval? (e.g. POP, Outlook)

Thanks for the answers.

I trided sending an Admin sent RAC message with an attachment, but it was not sent. Is there a setting I need to change to allow attachements to be sent?

Hi Douggg

Yes, files can be sent with messages sent remotely using RAC.

Generally RAC should be used for messages sent by admin and member sending for non-admins to send to your list (e.g. list members). There is no technical requirement to it that way but it affects some database values (e.g. for the logging and history of members).

Member sending does not support personalization fields as that would be a security hole (I won't go into the details).
