I would like to move all my photo directories from the C drive to a different drive. I know how to change the drive letter in the library (Library>Library Options>Media Library Folders>Relocate). While this clearly changes the reference for Keywords and Descriptions, it does not update the references in the Favorites files. I have, quite literally, dozens of Favorites files and I'm not interested in rebuilding them from scratch, which is the only way I can see to deal with them.

Am I missing something? Is there any way to make mass modifications to the drive letters in the Favorites files?

(I'm running version 15.0)

Hi Kay

Yes, that is right. As long as you save to text format, anything editor will do.

It's so obvious once it's pointed out. Thanks!

Kay

P.S. Editing with Word or a similar document writer works, too.

Hi

Favorite (*.fvt) files are simply text files containg a file list.

To edit them:
1. Browse to the folder containing your favorite files.
2. Double-click one to edit. Choose
3. Click "More Apps"
4. Choose Notepad
5. Use Edit > Replace to correct the drive letters (e.g. Replace D:\ with F:\)
6. Click File > Save
