I am in Win7 - 64 bit and outlook from Office 2010. Downloaded and installed Text Lightening but nothing shows in toolbar for Outlook.
Went to Option- Addins - Manage Com Addins->Go and Text Lightening not checked. Checked it and no joy. Went same route again and after checking box clicked Add - went to Programs(86) Text Lightening and tried all the dll's and the only exe was the uninstall.
Any advice on how to make this work.
Happy Pix Play user and thought I would try this but?????

Hi Lee

I'll need to look into that when we do the next update.

This looks like a super program, but I am having trouble inserting quick text. I want the font to be Arial 12, but when I create a new Quick Text; the font inserted is always Arial 11. I have tried editing the particular quick text item, but no luck. I also went into settings and changed default font to Arial 12. Still no luck.

I am using Outlook 2010, 32 bit and Windows 7.

Any ideas?

Do you know if there are any plans to make Text Lightening work on Outlook 2010 x64? I understand that it's 32-bit at this time, but I'm curious as to whether it might -- at some point -- be available for my system.

To check the version, Click File - Help. It will show you if you have 32 or 64 bit installed.

You're never a loser until you quit trying.

Hi

Both the 32bit and 64bit version of Outlook can be installed on 64bit Windows (in fact, Microsoft recommends the 32bit version for compatibility) so you might want to check.

Since I installed Office 2010 with Outlook just recently I assume it installed in the 64 bit version since my Win 7 is 64 bit. So I guess Text Lightening won't work yet.
Looks like a neat little program so I hope is gets an upgrade.
Thanks for your attention.

Hi

Are you using Outlook 32 or 64 (both are supported on Win 64)?

Text Lightning only works on Outlook 32 at this time.
