Hi, I am having a problem getting outposted to work. I have rechecked all settings and can find no problem there, and I have also checked my firewall and other security apps, nada.

The test send comes back with an error, the log says:

Delivery error: Socket Error # 10060
Connection timed out.

How do I fix this?

Hi Neir

I'm afraid OutPosted may not be compatible with your mail server.

Double checked all, it seems gmail is ssl, so I went back to trying with my gmx account.

The fire wall was set to allow, and then even turned off. (I hate doing that, and wouldn't without an image ready to go.)
I re installed twice, and with no changes in settings I was able to send test message.
So I tried to send a website and got 4 emails in 2 minutes, all saying bad request.
The next site I tried the email is just blank??

The 4 emails in 2 minutes got me a Too many mails (mass delivery by gmx user), try again in 58 minute(s) message in the log :(

And none had the site in them.

What is wrong?

Hi

Sorry I just clicked, this is a timeout connecting to your SMTP server for sending the messages. So check that your SMTP settings are the same as in your email software (note SSL servers are not supported) also check (again?) your firewall does not have a program block on OutPosted.

Internet Explorer is working, as far as I can tell (I usually use Firefox)
I am on Windows Vista. (I already tried run as admin, no change)

The only time I do not get the error the program hangs and I have to taskkill it.

I have tried with both my emails, gmail and gmx, with various settings, and it will not work.

Sometimes I got the Delivery error: Socket Error # 10060
Connection timed out. error and sometimes it was Delivery error: Connection Closed Gracefully while I was trying the different accounts.

The gmail is the one where it will sometimes just hang.

Hi

OutPosted is using Internet Explorer to retrieve the web page. Is IE working correctly?

What version of Windows are you using?
