I began using Amaze in Sept. 2009 on Vista -- worked like a charm; loved it. We upgraded to Windows 7 last week. I did a clean install and then reinstalled Amaze.

Amaze still behaves properly in 3 of the 4 modes; however, we're experiencing odd behavior in the multimedia slideshow mode. Amaze displays the designated # of "slides" in the grid, but instead of images, we see just white space inside each slide frame. Moreover, the transition flickers rapidly through each slide -- about 1/2 second for each -- with no transition effects. It does properly display filename and date, and outlines the active slide, according to those options.

I have tried turning on & off the transition effects, altering display time for each slide, changing the number of slides horizontally & vertically, turning on & off the filename display option... just about every combination of settings for that mode. Also tried using a different image directory. Same behavior each time.

Lastly, I uninstalled & then reinstalled Amaze, with no effect.

The oddest part of all this is that I also have Smart Pix Manager 11.1 installed, and the slideshow works perfectly in SPM.

Right now, I've disabled the Amaze slideshow & am using the other 3 modes. But slideshow is our favorite.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
RH

Just FYI. I'm having the same problem in Windows 7.

Hi RH

I'll have to look into your failing multiple image slideshow when we do the next update.

Yes, sorry. It's Amaze v. 7.01, downloaded from Xequte on Dec. 20, 2009. -- RH
Addition: Please disregard comments about transition effects. I was tinkering with the single-photo display at the same time & getting my experiments mixed up. (Single-photo works w/ no problems under Win7, as noted.) -- RH
