Posted - Dec 16 2016 : 13:08:41 We have MLK running on a dedicated machine and have noticed that the amount of free memory on the machine is quickly decreasing. For instance, somehow 16 gB of space was used up in the last month even though MLK is the only program running on the machine. From what I can tell the database itself is less than a gB in size.
Is there anything that MLK might be doing to be using up so much space so quickly? And if so, how can we prevent or monitor it? |

It is unlikely. The database engine may create temporary files, but they do not use this naming regime.

Posted - Dec 19 2016 : 09:15:33 Hi Nigel, We are seeing a series of files in our local Temp folder being created. These files are in the format of cab_372_2 and are sequential. Are these related to MLK, or being created by it, in anyway?

The main thing that will make MLK increase its memory usage is caching of records when you are navigating the database. Ensure that your usage profile under File > Options, Database, is specified and return MLK to Home mode when not accessing member records.
