We recently upgraded to MLK Version: 11.21 BR
> > Windows Version: Windows 7. All was good for a week. Now sending is VERY VERY SLOW, and the templates if edited are defaulting to a red background that is not apparent in editing only after sending. You can't remove the red background. All templates created before new software and the 1st week of the new upgrade are still fine. We have optimized and rebuilt 2 times and have not seen any improvement. Any thoughts? Reinstall?

THanks

Hi Lynn

I tested the template you sent. It shows with a red background even in Firefox/Internet Explorer.

You need to remove the null bgColor= reference in the document. I have sent you a fixed version of your template.

Hi Lynn

Thanks, I received the email with the screenshots, but please also email me one of your source template files.

I didn't receive the log. Was it too big? I.e. did it bounce back to you? Please put it into a zip or send it via yousendit.com

Hi Nigel,

You should have received the debug log, along with several other emails that demonstrate the template issue.

Thanks,

Lynn

Hi Lynn

Yes, you can certainly reinstall. Just use the details you were provided when upgrading.

However reinstalling is unlikely to make any difference, as the program itself has not changed, but rather its configuration or the system on which it exists.

Please test the following scenarios:
- Does disabling Extended MAPI, under View > Options, Other, Outlook Options make any difference?
- Does it send at normal speed when you send via SMTP?
- Does installing it on a different computer resolve the problem?

Regarding the template issue, please send me a test message and/or the templates you are using. For HTML editing MLK using Internet Explorer. What version of IE do you use?

Hi Nigel,

We have not changed any settings. The source templates are the templates that are provided in MLK. I just change the images and the columns. We started experiencing the image disappearing issues last week, then the sending issues, and now the template corruption. I sent you screen shots and the actual emails yesterday.

I will double check on the Outlook settings, but I haven't changed anything, and I have confirmed with our Operations Manager that there has been no AV changes either.

Is reinstalling an option?

Hi Lynn

If optimizing the database has not helped, and it is not slow in other places, then presumably the problem exists in its communication with Outlook. Have you changed any of MLK's Outlook settings, or modified Outlook in any way?

You can confirm this by switching your sending method to something else, such as SMTP, and seeing whether it sends at normal speed.

Also, have you changed your anti-virus software?

Please email me your source templates. They are presumably using/accessing CSS which is not supported by the receiving software.
