Posted - May 23 2012 : 12:51:53 Hi Nigel,
Is there a way to batch-add a number of new contacts who work in the same company? Currently, the only way I am aware of doing so is ctrl-N and fill in particulars for a contact, one at a time.
It would be a big time-saver if common fields could be populated once, and then individual names/email/phone etc. could then be filled in singularly.
Thanks for considering this as a request for a new feature, if it isn't something MLK can do now (and I have not discovered it yet).
Best regards Lydia |

The easiest way I can think of is to use "Set Field of Members":
1. Add the unique details (e.g. batch add the name and addresses using List > Add/Remove Members
2. Sort your mailing list by "Insertion Date" so the new members are at the top
3. Do a shift-select to highlight all the new members
4. Select Edit > Set Field of Members
5. Specify the common data, such as company
