Posted - Mar 05 2012 : 00:07:08 Hi Nigel
Here is another issue that we found with MLK. When setting up forms we specify a field for First Name, but it is not a required field.
Noentheless, when left blank when the web form is submitted, MLK takes the email address and uses the section before the @ sign and puts that in for first name.
We prefer to leave the field blank as we then put in the words "Subscriber".
How do we get MLK from stopping this behavior?
Thanks. |

Please generate a debug log where this occurs and email it to me.

Posted - Mar 05 2012 : 09:59:04 Hi Nigel Yes, if the field First Name is left blank by the sender, the web form itself shows this field as blank when submitted.
Yet MLK takes the first part of the email address and places that in the First Name field in the database. |

Can you confirm that the first name shows as this in the member properties or only when you insert the name into an email (using personalization fields)?
As there is no option to make the first occur, but there is for the second.
