How to I automate the process of purging email address from a specific MLK database that kepp bouncing? The return emails in Outlook with bounce report require me to manually copy and paste bad email addresses.

What is the best practice or removing hard bounces from a list I email to? Mike

Hi there,

have just upgraded to the new version and it has stopped processing most of the bounces. Have checked all of the settings and have also dropped the 'remove address' count down to 1
have also checked the 'text in subject list'

Any thoughts?

cheers
George

Hi

Use Outlook rules to automatically move all bounce messages to the folder that MLK processes (as specified under View > Options, Email Processing).

Then enable Undeliverable Message Processing under View > Options, Undeliverable.

You will also need to turn on the option to automatically remove members after too many bounces.

Remember that MLK treats a "Hard Bounce" (i.e. a permanent failure) as 3 soft bounces (temporary failures). So if you specify that a member is removed after six bounces this will equate to:
- 6 soft bounces
- 2 hard bounces
- 1 hard bounce and 3 soft bounces

Please let me know if any of that is confusing.
