Posted - May 17 2010 : 16:32:06 Hi
The following outlines MLK's Outlook 2010 compatibility status:
Outlook 2010 32 bit
MLK v10.0 is fully compatible with Outlook 2010.
Outlook 2010 64 bit
MLK v10.0 is compatible with 64 bit Outlook but because 64 bit Extended MAPI is not available there are some functional limitations:
- MLK's toolbar in Outlook is not available
- Embedded images in messages will not display correctly if you are sending via Outlook. You should send via SMTP instead!
- You cannot override the sender address, however you can send via a custom Outlook account (which is the recommended method for using a non-default sender address anyway)
Note: For compatibility Microsoft recommends use of Office 32 bit, even on 64 bit Windows.

Posted - Nov 11 2010 : 02:12:55 Hi MJ
The compatibility of V9.25 with Outlook 2010 is similar to v10 except: - The MLK toolbar in Outlook is not available - It may not automatically disable "Extended MAPI" support on the 64bit version of Outlook - Other minor tweaks

Posted - Jul 18 2010 : 01:16:13 Hi
If you have multiple accounts in Outlook then in MLK you can specify why account MLK should use for your sending. This allows you to use an alternative reply address for bulk messages than your normal mail (Outlook 2007 and 2010 only).
You can specify the account to use under View > Options, Sending, Settings.
However because MLK cannot embed images when using Outlook 2010 64 bit you should not send via Outlook anyway.

Posted - Jul 16 2010 : 11:24:46 Can you explain or point me to information on the site that deal with a "custom Outlook account"? How is this different from the default sending account in Outlook.
Thanks |
