Is there a way i can send the same message to the same list each week without having to set up a new email batch for each week?

Hi Peter

When you click "Send to Addresses" it sends it immediately. If your delay setting is one week then the next message will be sent 7 days from the time that it is sent.

Thanks Nigel,

Scenario: Its 4am Tuesday as I write a delayed message - I want to delay my message until 9am Sunday - 125 hours away. If I were to send the first delayed message in 125 hours then weekly after that will the subsequent weekly email go out on the Sunday at 9am or each Tuesday at 4am?

Hi Peter

Sorry i neglected to provide you enough detail. When you create a new welcome message or delayed welcome message it does not affect members already in that group only new members to the group.

If you want it to apply to existing members you need to:
1. Select the task (under View > Options, Automatic Emails, "Delayed Messages")
2. click "Send to Addresses"
3. Click "Select"
4. Choose the groups tab and check the groups
5. Click OK

If you then go into the "Automated Emails" folder in the main window you will see the task for all specified members.

Nigel,

Thanks for your Sunday response.

I discovered this option after writing my forum question. I have set it up and I'm waiting for the first message to arrive. (1 day minimum) Is this time and date initiated? eg set up message at 3:30pm - will it be sent at 3:30pm the next day?

I notice there is no reference in the Automated Emails section of Message Center. Is this ok or should there be notification there?

Can you look into changing the sending options to "0" days for the first email to go instantly and/or at a selected day/date even a time sending option as per email/sms sending options.

Reason being - I might want an additional message to the welcome message to go out instantly as well. And if I'm writing my delayed messages on a Wednesday and I want them to go out on a Sunday I have to set them up on a Sunday to get the sequence correct - and if MLK is time sensitive I have to set it up at that exact time.

These few extra options here would be much appreciated.

Thanks

peter

Hi Peter

How about creating a delayed welcome message for the group and use the option to automatically resend it each week. See View > Options, Automated Emails, Welcome Messages, "Delayed Messages".
