Posted - Nov 24 2009 : 21:46:55 I tried using add and join to add members to a group and it didn't work. (Add and join are in the synonyms list.)
Any idea why the synonyms words aren't working? |

No, they are synonyms only for the subscribe command. There are no synonyms for RAC commands.

Posted - Nov 25 2009 : 11:36:07 Here's what's going on. If I send the following message from nigel@xequte.com, nigel@xequte.com gets added to the mailing list not the addresses in the body.
From nigel@xequte.com Subject: add listname pw:password <body> add1@abc.com Add2@abc.com add3@abc.com
But if I send the following message the abc.com users are added.
From nigel@xequte.com Subject: subscribelist listname pw:password <body> add1@abc.com Add2@abc.com add3@abc.com
Aren't the synonyms just sustitutions for the word SubscribeList?

Posted - Nov 25 2009 : 07:02:35 Hi Doug
So you had a message with a valid command such as:
JOIN or JOIN nigel@xequte.com
Was the message ignored (left in your email software) or deleted (but did not appear in your list)?
Also are you using the "Also consider any messages send to address xyz as subscribes" option?
