Posted - Oct 06 2009 : 07:00:39 I recently upgraded my comuter and moved over the entire Maillist King data folder from the old computer. When i opened this database all the settings are not included. Is there a way of migrating settings from the old system?

Under View > Options, Other you will find the option:
"Use different settings for each Mailing List database"
Unchecked: All databases share the same configuration. The configuration is stored in the default Windows Application Data folder for MLK
Checked: Each database has its own configuration. The configuration files are stored in a folder named \Config\ in each of your database folders.

I have two databases. when i open the second database it still uses the config folder from the first. I do have a separate config folder for the second database. How do i tell the program to change config folder locations.

To move your database and settings to a new computer:
1. Run MailList King on the old machine and click Ctrl+Shift+I. This will display the two important folders for MailList King (configuration and database).
2. Install MailList King on your new computer, run it and click Ctrl+Shift+I. This will show you where MailList King is saving your configuration and database on the new computer
3. Close MailList King
4. Copy your all of the files in your settings folder from Step 1 to the settings folder on the new computer from Step 2
5. Do the same for your database files
