I use MLK to post messgages in WordPress. One of the addresses in MLK is for the emailing a post to WP and another one comes to my test address. The mesages sent to my test address are fine, I look at them in Outlook.
But the messages sent/posted in WP have a =20 at the end. Here's an example .... little=20
I sending using Rich Text and the Encoding is Default.
Any idea what setting I need to chnage to get rid of the =20?
Thanks Doug |

Posted - Oct 01 2009 : 09:04:36 I create the messages using MLK's editor selecting a group. In that group is a MB address for WP (email posting) and an account for me so I can see the message I sent.
Never mind, I'm on the wrong path. Sent message from my Outlook account and they are there too.
Has to be a WP config issue.

=20 is an encoded space, so I'm not sure why WP is having difficulty displaying it. Also, it is odd that when you have MLK send via Outlook that it still has the problem.
Are you creating the messages in MLK? Or is MLK forwarding messages retrieved from your email software/POP server?

Posted - Sep 30 2009 : 14:52:08 If I send an email from my Outlook to WP using the same email address all is fine. When I view the message in Outlook (I send it to myself), it looks fine.
I think = and =20 are <space> and <return>. (I get both of these in WP, but only at the end of a line. I'll try sending as palin text. It appears MLK is hiding the = and =20 and WP is displaying them.

If you create the same message content in Outlook and send it to the WordPress account does it still show the encoding?
Also, what method are you using to retrieve the messages that are being forwarded?

Posted - Sep 30 2009 : 08:17:55 Nigel, I tried using Automatic encoding, same result.
A for Sending Method. (Not sure what you mean by second sending method.) Here are my settings. For messages: Outlook Automated messages: SMTP/ISP - I'll try chaning this to Outlook.
The change made no difference.

What is your [second] sending method under View > Options, Sending? Does changing it make a difference? (e.g. to Outlook)?
