Posted - Sep 28 2009 : 18:52:41 Hi
A user has asked us about how to avoid sending a message without inadvertently sending it to all recipients.
One feature we use in-house is the "AdminSendingConfirmationMessage" option. This displays a specified message plus a description of the recipients when you click Send and requires you to confirm the delivery.
To enable this option:
1. Run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I to display your key folders 2. Check the settings folder and click OK 3. Close MailList King 4. Double-click the settings.ini file to open it in Notepad 5. Find the line:
AdminSendingConfirmationMessage=
And change it to:
AdminSendingConfirmationMessage=Check that the recipients are correct!
(Use | if you need to break lines).
6. Click Save

Yes, we've actually had this option for quite a long time (because we always use it ourselves) but because it is not exposed in the UI most users are completely unaware of it.

Posted - Sep 28 2009 : 20:10:11 Hi Nigel
Worked and thanks for the quick response/fix. I can't believe the great support and how everything just works out of the box. Leaves my old program(not mentioning any names) for dead. |
