we have a mailing list of almost 30,000 for our monthly mailshot. In order to avoid annoying our ISP we use a 6 second delayed sending, and this is great.

EXCEPT

The delayed send pops a dialogue box on top of the main sending dialogue. This means that the main dialogue cannot be read, and its almost impossible to cancel or pause sending as the buttons are not accessible due to the delayed dialogue being in the way. It's incredibly frustrating! Try it and you'll see what i mean.

It would be great if the delayed send dialogue and main sending dialogue could could be integrated into a single dialogue box, with all buttons accessible at all times.

Hi

What sort of reminders are you referring to?

Hi Nigel

CANT STOP THE SEND WITHOUT ARCHIVE OR PAUSE 60 min ( DONT WANT THAT )

Reminders now keep starting and cant be stopped
They block the screen and makes MLK unusable

ill try start in safe mode and try turn off reminders ( i was sure it was off )

is there any other way to do this?

Thanks

Hi Phil

I will elevate the priority of that request (or add a pause button to the stagger dialog). In the meantime you can use the Abort button on the stagger dialog. From a practical perspective it has the same effect as pausing.

just to clarify:
When i say delayed sending I mean use ISP limits to insert say 5 second interval between mails.

Hi Phil

It is on the to-do list and has even been marked for "inclusion if possible" for a number of releases, but hasn't quite made it yet.

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem when you last reported it, but i will test it again shortly and if I can reproduce it this time, I will elevate its priority.

I'm now using version 10.11, and this still has not been implemented.

If anyone needs convincing how disfunctional this dialogue is, please setup a delayed sending task, then try to pause sending once its in progress. Its possible, but only by repeatedly hammering your mouse.

Enjoy.

Hi Phil

No, sorry they were one of the things that got pushed back to make the release deadline.
