MLK V8.11R (according to Help/About)
I have two custom fields, named "Email Hold" and "Mail Hold"
Each can take the values Y or N.
This comes from an externally supplied spreadsheet so I don't want to mess with the field names, but there is a problem with searching.

If I do a Search Email Hold is equal to Y (or N) it appears to work correctly.
If I do a Search Mail Hold is equal to Y and scroll down the returned results, it is clear that the search is not working correctly because the values in the Mail Hold column are a mixture of Ys and Ns.

Could this be a bug? Or is there some other way of explaining it?

(If I could sort on custom fields, I could achieve what I want another way)

Hi Adrian

Unfortunately the custom field handling in MLK is awaiting improvement. One of the limitations is related to custom field searching. In your case you can resolve the issue by naming your two fields "Email Hold" and "Postal Hold".
