I would like to purchase MailList King to support monthly meeting notices for my engineering professional organization. What are the system and Internet requirements for installing and using MailList King ? I'm currently connected to the Internet through a local Internet provider. My plan is to use MailList King to email about 2000 notices per month directly to members and not through the provider's email server. Will this work ?

Thanks,

Hi Lee

2000 messages per month is pretty light, you could easily use the ISP limits options in MLK to send these in manner that is unlikely to offend your ISP.

You could also use the mail server that is included in MLK to send your messages without using the mail server of your ISP.

However some mail servers will block messages that they recognize as originating from a local mail server (such as MLK's SMTP server). So to reach all your recipients you would need to use one of the automatic options that sends all failed messages via normal SMTP on the last attempt.

Also to use the internal mail server option you should check your ISP does not block port 25.
