Background Information

If you have been using MLK for many versions then an important option is enabled by default:

AllowGroupsContainingSpaces=True

Generally this should always be set to:

AllowGroupsContainingSpaces=False

(as it is on new installs).

Assuming none of your group names contain spaces then disabling the option allows MLK to be much more accurate when processing command strings and allows it to automatically fix common errors, e.g.

Subscribe A_Group nigel .cross@company.com

If you have AllowGroupsContainingSpaces=True then MLK assumes the group specified here is "A_Group nigel"

Whereas if MLK knows your groups cannot contain spaces then it recognizes the user has made a typo and correctly subscribes nigel.cross@company.com to "A_Group"

Recommendation

So all users (who do not have groups with spaces) should:

1. Run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I to display your key folders
2. Check the settings folder and click OK
3. CLOSE MAILLIST KING
4. Double-click the settings.ini file to open it in Notepad
5. Find the line:

AllowGroupsContainingSpaces=True

And change it to:

AllowGroupsContainingSpaces=False

6. Click Save
