Hi Mark

We can provide you a version that allows you to select the SSL version it uses, but its unlikely that a server would fail with a client using an older SSL version.

So that eliminates the one cause I was thinking could have been factor. We can't reproduce the any SSL problems with the servers we test against, including the big one, Gmail. So there must be something different about your server that is causing the issue.

Hi Nigel
Hoped you would have had a better solution than that
Kinda makes MLK no longer attractive as this just slows the whole mail process to a crawl

Hi Mark

MLK uses SSL v2, but i would assume the mail server would be backwardly compatible.

Perhaps you should use MLK's option to send via Outlook?

Hi Nigel
All settings as far as I can tell are the same, what difference should I be looking for that may create this issue ?

Internode use SSL V3
Cheers

Hi

And you've confirmed that the same settings in Outlook are working?

Hi Nigel
I have two mitigating issues, I had to change my mail server from mail.internode.on.net to securemail.internode.on.net, also went to port 465 and had to tick SSL, because I was unable to send mail when away from my work router, this fixed that problem, also had a hard drive failure which is why I had to reinstall MLK. Have tried changing ports back to 25 and using internal mail server, all give the same SSL error message on the log

Hi Mark

Are you sure it is the same issue? Did SSL work with Internode until mid September and then stop working?

Have you confirmed you are using the same settings in MLK and Outlook? Also, does changing the option to send via Outlook resolve the issue?
