Posted - Oct 04 2009 : 00:43:03 Hi
What version of Windows was it?
The default location of your settings is:
XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\ < YOUR WINDOWS LOGIN NAME > \Local Settings\Application Data\Xequte\MailList King\
Vista:
C:\Users\ <YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME> \AppData\Local\Xequte\MailList King\
The database should be stored in a "DB" folder under this folder
Otherwise search the system for the file mlk_main.dat. Copy ALL of the files from that folder.

Posted - Oct 02 2009 : 11:03:10 Our IS dept. moved my software from my old computer to a new one. When I got the new computer, I had the trial version of MLK and they lost my database of thousands of e-mails. (Yes, I know I should have done my own backup first).
IS has a back up of the computer done before they switched the software. Is there something I can tell IS to do or a file format they should search for so I can get my e-mail list back? Thanks for any help.

Posted - Sep 12 2009 : 12:25:00 To move your database and settings to a new computer:
1. Run MailList King on the old machine and click Ctrl+Shift+I. This will display the two important folders for MailList King (configuration and database).
2. Install MailList King on your new computer, run it and click Ctrl+Shift+I. This will show you where MailList King is saving your configuration and database on the new computer
3. Close MailList King
4. Copy your all of the files in your settings folder from Step 1 to the settings folder on the new computer from Step 2
5. Do the same for your database files
