Posted - Apr 26 2009 : 22:47:02 After reinstalle of Vista and MailList King I get an error when I want to check a POP account:
"An Error was encountered accessing your POP Server: Socket Error #11004"
Outlook connects fine to this account, Firewall is open for MailList King...
Can anyone point out was is wrong? Thanks! |

Unforutnately we can't diagnose from the software end why it is being blocked. It's calls simply don't go through in this situtation. Given that you say the error pops up very quickly that means the problem is almost certainly on your system rather than your ISP's.
Which confirms either a configuration error in MLK (your POP server and login details) or local blockage.
If you are using Outlook, why use the POP retrieval option at all? Retrieving from Outlook is much better.

First check that you have specified the correct address of the POP server (unlikely but it is the easiest thing to check for).
11004 errors are commonly related to firewall blockage. I note that you have disabled your firewall, but also check your A/V software and if you have a router it may contain a firewall.
