I have two DB's set up in MLK. Under Options>Other>Database and Sharing, I have the "Allow sharing of the MailList King database" unchecked (disabled for my version anyhow) and "Use a different configuration for each mailing list database" checked.

For each DB, I have a different sender/Reply address. However, MLK, bless it's little soul, has picked up BOTH of these addresses and lists them in the drop down box for BOTH DB's (Opitons>Sending Mail>other sending options>Sender/Reply Address). It's like some configuration files are separate for DB's and some are shared. This is bad though, as it is way to easy to now send a message to the right group, but with the wrong sender.

I have no idea how this happened, it seems to have appeared in the last version before 7.1.

At any rate, can you point me to the right file so that I can reset this. Then we'll see if it reappears.

Thanks,

As a related question- how do I set up my different DB's as completely unrelated- No shared files or attributes? Each has it's own folder now (under the Maillist King folder). Should I send you my 'tree'.

That must be what happened. The vast majority of the settings would normally be the same anyhow.

Thanks for the pointer on cleaning up the sender list. That resolved this problem.

Hi

MLK when configured to use different options for each mailing list database should not share any settings.

However when you first enable the option it will inherit the settings that you last used.

In your case you need to edit your AdminAddresses.ddt files:

1. Run MLK and click Ctrl+Shift+I to display your key folders
2. Check the settings folder and click OK
3. CLOSE MAILLIST KING
4. Open Window Notepad
5. Drag AdminAddresses.ddt and drop it into Notepad
6. Edit the address list as required
7. Save the file
