We've experienced problems recently when the MLK database is held on a network drive: the network connection goes down for some reason (wiring), MLK 7.1 freezes and we end up with a corrupt database. There's no problem recovering the database - just run the tool you provide - but I wonder if MLK 7 is more sensitive that earlier versions or if you have any recommended good practices?

Nigel,

We're using MLK on a LAN with multiple depts sharing the database. We'd be interested in any improvements in this area.

Thanks.

Hi

MLK 7 uses the same database engine as v6 so it should not be any less stable. Check under View>Options, Other that you have enabled DB sharing which (amongst other things) makes it much more proactive in flushing data to disk.

Also, we are considering a client/server version for improved usage in a shared situation, so users interested in that should make themselves heard
