Posted - Dec 21 2009 : 11:01:06 Hi we ares still using version 6.28 and we had a computer crash. I tried to rebuild the database system utility which might have been a mistake. We keep getting the same message
tblhistory no index for fields "date" Do you want MLK to attempt to repair it?
Would upgrading to version 7 fix this error? |

You can delete all mlk_hist.* files, but you MUST copy new mlk_hist.* files to replace them (e.g. by creating a new blank database using File>new Database).

Posted - Dec 23 2009 : 09:54:09 Yes I did use the utility. The files are huge, can I just delete them? I don't think we need them anyway. |

Hmmm, I assume you mean you database a "repair" using the database utility? It is hard to imagine how that could be distructive.
If your mlk_hist.* files are not too large you might want to put them in a zip and email them to use for repair.

Posted - Dec 22 2009 : 13:22:30 Hi I might add that I used the database utility to try and rebuild the history table and main table. I forced reindexing. Thanks |
