Posted - Nov 12 2009 : 17:05:21 I am attempting to set up a birthday club. I would like for people to be able to select their month of birth on a web form, and then have those people sorted into groups when they sign up. I tried going into the web form section and creating groups in the "Specify Web Field Message fields" but it didn't work out for me. Please tell me if there is a way to do this. Thanks. |

If you create a field that has all the birth months and specify that as your "Group" field (under View>Options, Web Forms, Specify web form fields). Then subscribers will automatically be added to the birth month group they specified.

Thanks. |

From the sound of your requirements, I think it would be easiest to use the "Birth Month" as a group, i.e. so you will have groups named January, February, etc.
Another way (using the upgrade released today) is to take their birthday. Then you can filter the mailing list by their birthday to send out mailers, just to January people, for example.
