Posted - Jun 18 2009 : 09:24:55 I see there is a way to restrict the gap between sending attempts, but is there a way to limit the actual number of emails sent in one mailshot, working in conjunction with a specified gap between mailshots?
My isp wants me to restrict my emails to 3,000 per hour with a half hour between mailshots?
That's the deal he wants anyway?
Can this be done with MLK Business edition?

You choose what user groups you want, then 'send message' -> scheduled sending -> Send staggering: here you can choose 'send to:' and specify any number of recipients per batch and then set the amount of time between batches. mmm sounds like cookies. You can even set it to not send them, just allow you to manually push each batch as you see fit. It will store the batches in your active sending tasks and there you can initiate them as you wish.
Pretty rad stuff.
I am not sure what you mean by "there is a way to restrict the gap between sending attempts".
The actual restricting of 'sending attempts' is a function of the mail server. This would only apply if it tried to connect to a domain and did not receive a response or proper hand shake. It would retry that function again at a later time. This doesn't have to do with MLK unless you are using the internal SMTP. And then, it does not apply to what your ISP is asking for. For that matter, if you are using your ISP in that fashion, it doesn't apply to you at all, thus the reason you have to limit the amount you are sending on 'their' smtp.
