Hi,

Have just been advised of a domain name change for some subscribers in one of my MLK lists. I don't want to do this manually - there's a lot of them. I'm not sure if the right way to approach this is within MLK or outside.

I can do a "filter mailing list" to isolate the ones I want to change - but then what?

I do an auto export to a csv file every time MLK is closed but the list is in excess of 65k lines so when I open in Excel I don't see the complete list to do a global replace.

I can open the full csv file in wordpad and could do the replace there. Assume this is OK, then delete the mailing list in MLK and "Import"? But would I lose all the history?

Thanks,

Yvonne

Yes, that would be cool. I'll investigate what it takes to get a Wiki running after we finish the current project.

There you go Nigel - you've got two people willing to contribute towards a wiki-how.

Good idea indeed. I think these forums can provide a solid groundwork for a wiki. I would contribute for sure.

If people really knew what MLK can do and how to implement it... MLK sales would triple. My friend is at a large company here in Portland and they paid well into the 4 figures for a system that does less then MLK hahahaha

Ahh well..

Nigel,

You need to add that one to the documentation!

Hey - now here's an idea!... Set up a wiki-how so that registered users can contribute towards a really good online manual of solutions. Just a thought (must be Monday morning).

Ah! Many thanks, worked like a charm - just a little obtuse...

Hi Yvonne

Actually it much easier than that (but alas not very obvious).

1. Select Edit>Update Email Address
2. In the "Old Address" box specify *@ and then the old domain name, e.g.

*@olddomain.com

3. In the "New Address" box specify *@ and then the new domain name, e.g.

*@newdomain.com

4. Click OK

MLK will advise you how many instances of the old domain are in the mailing list and confirm if they should all be updated to the new domain.
