Under the select groups tab, I have two lists. The number in each list does not match the number reported when the lists are displayed. I have one list that consists of 11,928 members. When you request just this list be displayed, it then reports the selected group contains 9,682 members. When I send an email, only 9,682 are sent to. Why are the numbers different? Can I get them back matching again? Something I tried told me the 9,682 were "unique members". Ever seen this?

Hi

It is almost impossible that you would have members in a group that do not display when you search on that group. When you have addresses reported that do not appear in your list is invariably due to the use of email aliases or forwarding addresses.

In your case, select File>Optimize again and choose the options to Optimize, Repair and update counts of your database.

If you are still having problems, please zip up your database files and send them to me using www.dropload.com

I have tried updating counts and my numbers are still off by over 2300. Is it possible that emails exist that do not show up in the list when displayed? I have gotten returned or failed emails that when I try to remove them, the system tells me that they do not exist. How am I sending to addresses that do not appear in my list?

Try selecting File>Optimize Database and choose the "Update Counts" option.
