Hi Gisele

Glad to hear you were able to fix your burner; unfortunate that it required a total reinstall.

Hello Nigel.
So, at least I had only one thing to do : I formated windows , because had tried many things before, without success.
Now my PixPlay is able to burn again, and I'm pleased.
Thanks for the support.
regards. Gisèle

Hi Gisele

I don't think it is a compatibility issue. We have no known compatibility issues with any current version of windows.

Hello Nigel, again me.
Had a look into windows compatibilities problems and received the answer that DVD PixPlay was not compatible. To repair : CompatMode, UserVerifySolution, Verify_NO .
I tried to put compatibility with XP SP3, but still the problem.
Have you an idea ?
Thanks.
Gisèle

Hello Nigel,
Thanks for the help.
The ClassID I receive in my pixplay project window(56FDF344-FD6D-11D0-958A-006097C9A090) goes to the key Task Bar Communication.Do you think I can delete this key ?
I tried many things but no success. 2 days to search, read, trying to repair ; windows says that my drivers are up to date. So, now I don't know what to do.
To burn on the second computer I know how to do , as I kept the project.
Would like to know please : in Compatibility disk burning communication , do I keep it on SPTI , or ASPI, or SPT Direct ?
Perhaps I miss some extra driver ?
Another thing I did too : I looked for the 2 keys UpperFilters and LowerFilters in HKLM...... at the line Class {4D36E965-E325......}, but I did not found them. So, I tried to install them, and then I had the error Code 19 ; deleted these 2 keys.
After 2 days I am at the same point with my problem , would like to find what is wrong.
I seem to be the only one with this error !
So, for today I give up.
Thanks.
Regards.
Gisèle

Hi Gisele

Much too cold here for my liking :-(

You could try changing the burning method setting under View > Options, Folders, Advanced, but by the sound of the error it won't help.

To move your projects to a new system:

Open the project, then select View > Options, Folders.

Click the "View files of the project" button.

A folder will open, take note of its name. Go to the folder above this folder. You will find a pxp project file of the same name in the folder. Copy the project file and the folder to the same location on your other computer.

When you oipen that project file on your new computer you will be prompted to specify the new location of any missing files.

Hello and many thanks Nigel.
So, today ,I made a lot of things, included reinstall drivers , but no good result, still the same problem . I had a look on the second computer of the house, there the burner works .
I go on searching everywhere some ideas which could give a solution ; if no possible, I'll have to make a new pixplay project on the second computer , to be able to burn it on a DVD.
About SPTI or else, nothing to change ?
Perhaps somebody in this forum will give me some help ? but if you don't know from where comes that issue, I guess that nobody else can know.
If I find something I write again.
Best regards.
Hoping winter is not too cold ? here summer is hot.
Bye.And Thanks again. Gisèle

Hi

The ClassID will presumably the reference to the DVD burner drivers or device in the registry, but I've never seen an issue of Windows failing because of it. This could indicate corruption of your registry hive or some other serious windows issue :-o Or it may just be overzealous deletion of data by a registry cleaning tool.

So I'm not sure how to repair this issue, but I would first try reinstalling the DVD burner drivers.

Hi Gisele

I'm not sure what that error might be, but I've just sent you v8.01. Does it give the same problem?

Excuse me I wrote the wrong word : you may read REGISTERED and no recorded. Thanks. Bye.
