I am making a slideshow with dvd pix play that I purchased 3 years ago. When I go to download the audio file that I want to go with the slideshow it wont let me because it is not a supported file. I have downloaded the song from itunes and loaded it from the purchased cd. It is mpeg4 and it seems DVD Pixplay will only take mp3 or some other wav format that I don't know about. What can I do to get this song on my slideshow?

I did burn a cd from itunes and was able to rip the song from the cd to my slideshow on DVDPixplay.

First, I upgraded my version from v3 to v6.15. This version allows more formats for audio files. This version allows you to rip a song directly from your cd. Also, I had ripped the song from my cd to a media player instead of itunes which ripped it in the wma format which is also allowed in the v6.15. Therefore, like Nigel said you might be able to burn an itunes download to a cd and then either rip it from the cd right to dvd pix play or maybe use the link he gave to change its format. I have not tried this yet, but intend to when I get time. Hope this helps. I know I was getting frustrated.

Would this be the same case with copying it from the cd? Also, I recently purchased an upgrade but will it not work since I don't have the 6.15v?

Hi Liz

Yes, the older version of PixPlay only supports WAV and MP3. The latest release supports a wider range, however i believe that iTunes files are locked with DRM to prevent them being used by third-party applications.

The only way I know of is to burn them to a CD, and then rip the CD music to MP3 using a CD ripping program:
