Posted - Oct 01 2009 : 06:43:31 I have two folders - Folder "1" and Folder "A" - and a slide show "A".
Folder 1 has most of the jpg (pics and previews) files that are in the slide show "A". However folder "A" (which is where I want the complete slideshow) has all of the Title Pages plus additional jpg files that are not in the Slideshow "A".
I believe I did this in the learning process but at this time I would like "A" to have the complete show with only jpg files that I use and all of the Titles and no other files.
How do I correct this? |

Posted - Oct 04 2009 : 02:26:56 Hi
(Although I don't like to recommend it) You should be able move all of the files in folder "1" to folder "A". Then reopen the project and display the missing files dialog (if it does not display automatically select Edit > Advanced > Missing Files. You then need to point PixPlay to the new location of the files it can't find.
Note: Make sure you back up your project before doing this.

I appreciated the help and understood that you were a user like me. Frequently I try to help others (sometimes not understanding the problem) in areas where I have experience.
I like the program. What has happened to me is no fault of the program - it was caused by me in the original setting up and learning the program. Now I am just trying to get it straightened out (without starting all over). I think I could do it but would like expert advise because of other files that may be needed in the correct folder and of course how to make the program understood what I have done. |

You are right--I don't understand your problem so I guess that is why the program is not working for you. I am only a user of this program and have nothing to do with XEQUTE who makes this software so you will have to wait for Nigel or someone else to help you--and Nigel's time zone is about 16 hours different from yours.
Hope it works out for you.

Please read my thread and see my problem and then give me an answer on how I can get ALL the right files in the right folder and make the program understand where they are. |

Thanks - I had already looked at the Help file as noted.
You really didn't answer my question. I have two folders that one slide show seems to access. I need all of the data files in the one folder. I am not sure how to combine the files (and which files) in the right folder so that all files for Slideshow "A" are in corresponding folder "A".
Remember jpg and preview.jpg files are in one folder and all Titles are in another folder - folder "A" (which is where I want all files for slideshow "A").
I know I can move all of the jpg files to the correct folder ("A") and they will be with the correct Title files. However what other files need to go to the correct folder and how do I make the program itself understand all of the changes. |

Try this for setting up the folders:
from the Main Screen chose HELP>CONTENTS>INDEX>scroll down to "FOLDERS USED BY PIXPLAY" Click on the DISPLAY KEY located at the bottom left of the page.
Most questions can be answered by using the HELP command and using this FORUM.
GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOWS ! ! !
