Posted - Jul 11 2009 : 09:23:21 I sometimes use the "clip art"/title frame function to apply a photo image to a title frame. I noticed today that, in V5, when I do this the result is that any color image from my files becomes monochrome. Previous versions of Pixplay did not do this. Oddly enough, when I go into the frame to edit it, the photos are in color. But when the slide show runs, the photos have been converted to monochrome. I've tested with quite a number of different images. Is this a glitch, or do I need to adjust something?

When it runs on your DVD player, your computer, or both?
Can you email me an example source file and the exact steps to reproduce the issue.

Posted - Jul 12 2009 : 14:06:13 It is not showing the color in this project only on thosee frames I've attempted to develop with V5. It is showing the color for the frames that were developed in this same project with the previous version. Nothing has changed with the player. |

If you had your player set for PAL it would not show the color.

Posted - Jul 12 2009 : 09:49:19 The color images (jpg) that I previously placed on title frames within the project prior to V5 remain in color when I work on the project with V5. However, if I now try to place the exact same (or any other) color images on a title frame -- in the same project in V5 -- they are converted to monochrome.

I have seen cases where slideshows that contain gray-scale images can affect the colourization of other slides in the project. Do you use gray-scale images in your project?
Also, depending on what cables you have, try plugging only the yellow cable into "video out", I previously heard of people that had red, white, and yellow cables plugged into "comopents out" and only got black and white. Doing only the yellow into video out gave them color.
