Posted - Jun 09 2009 : 21:03:25 Hi Nigel, I love DVD PixPlay and have already worked with one friend on her computer after she purchased the software. Another friend came over and I showed her how easy it was to create the slideshows and she actually did one and burned it to DVD. I just sent her the link to order it herself on her computer. Now I need to know how I can transfer her DVD slideshow over to her once she has the program set up to start doing it on her own? Jean

When editing projects with other people, make sure you go into View > Options, Folder, and enable the option to copy all files to the project folder. Then you can just copy the project file and folder to a disk/thumb drive.
If you have not enabled the option then you will need to find the files that you use in the project and copy those to a disk/thumb drive. Also copy the pxp project file and its folder.
On the new computer install PixPlay and copy all of the files to the "DVD PixPlay Projects" folder in My Documents. Open the project in PixPlay and a "Missing Files" dialog will come up and you will need to specify the new location of the files.
(This process will be much easier with the coming release).

Posted - Jun 10 2009 : 05:33:25 If you saved the finished product to disk(I think it is saved as an .iso file) then you could transfer it by memory stick. I would imagine the file would be too big to email. If , however it is only a DVD Pixplay project then you can't really transfer it across as Pixplay doesn't save copies of the individual images, i.e. if you make a pixplay project, you need to make sure that you save all images seperately. If it is only a project, you could also copy a folder of the images onto the memory stick but I think then that the pixplay would need to be pointed in the right direction to find the files. |
