Posted - Jun 07 2009 : 08:49:34 Hi There Recently I prepared a slideshow containing 1500 pictures the file got very big, about 5 GB which is beyond a regular DVD so I split the show into 2 Slideshows. then I decided to create a multiple slideshow using a DVD+R DL media which has a size of 8.5 GB First I prepared it with PixPlay and It came out fairly good. I say "fairly" because the "Menu" did not work as expected. While on the PC I could choose the show it was'nt strait forward on the DVD. when the disk started the menu appeared all right but I could not choose a show by pointing a title. I could choose a title by inputing a number also I could not go back to the menu once the show started. I never ever encountered any problem with my DVD player Before with any Slideshow I prepared. Am I doing something wrong? I would verry much appreciate any advice in that matter. Best Regards
Eliezer

That is very interesting. So to clarify, by enlarging the DVD buttons text boxes you were able to resolve the problem. Can you please send me a screen shot of the menu being edited in DVD PixPlay.
(To create a screenshot display the program with the problem visible then select PrintScreen (or PrtScr) on the top of your keyboard. Using Microsoft Word or an image editor such as Paint, select Paste. Save the file, if possible as a JPEG if you are using an image editor and send it to us)
Posted - Jun 12 2009 : 21:38:16 Hi Nigel As I promissed I come back to you with an answer. I used Costomized menu mode and while editing the menu "Item Lines" I TRIMMED the initialy allocated text area (marked with square markers)to size of the text but then it occured to me that this area is not "just Big" and might contain, what I call, "hidden Menu Information attributes" so I went back and "Re Enlarged" to Initial size and BINGO here it was All fell into place and the show is GREAT. Best Regards

Posted - Jun 08 2009 : 20:35:56 Hi Nigel For your First question: >"Can you confirm whether you still get the menu weirdness if you use one of the prebuilt menu templates" I will have to check and maybe recompile the show (3.5 Hours) For your Second question: >"Also if you view the problematic disk on your computer does the >menu work correctly?" I would not know what "correctly" means since it is my first time with this feature. On my computer, I can activate the menue using the mouse (the only way)if I want to return to the menue during the show I have to "STOP" and go "BACKWARDS" If this is the way it supposed to function then I can say it works correctly. Best Regards

Can you confirm whether you still get the menu weirdness if you use one of the prebuilt menu templates.
Also if you view the problematic disk on your computer does the menu work correctly?
Posted - Jun 07 2009 : 20:11:00 Hi Nigel This is with V4.10 Pro and it was with a custom built menu. I used one of the show's pictures for the menu page. Best regards

This is with v4.10, correct?
Was this a custom built menu, or one of PixPlay's menu templates?
Posted - Jun 07 2009 : 09:01:40 Wanted to add: I also tried to Burn the program with an "autside" burning programm using nero 9 trial version. I tried it several times every time it faiiled to finish the burning proces Ruining the disk (It's not a cheep media). I used the "BURN VIDEO DISC">"DVD-Video Files" option and Added the VIDEO_TS file I wanted to burn. NO Success. Did anyone of you encounter such a problem? Best regards
