When I crop a photo, I can not control one direction at a time. It appears to keep the whole photo in relative size.

You cand crop an image in any given way by - Right click on the image and then 'Open in Image Editor'
The defauilt image editor will fire up and display the image- and then you can work any way you wish.
If you are using 'Original' images it is best then to use 'Save As' thus retaining the image in its original form.
Click back to PixpPay and the modified image will be there.

Hi

By default, DVD PixPlay assumes you want to crop it to a ratio that is consistent with the display your slideshow is shown on. For instance, if you are going to show your images on TV then generally you want to crop your photos in a ration of 4:3 (i.e. the same ratio as a TV screen). That way when you display the photo on TV there will be no border (blank area) showing.

However you can disable this sort of cropping by clicking the "Lock" link in the bottom left and choosing "None"
