Posted - Nov 22 2009 : 09:28:53 I have made several slide shows and so far burnt them to CDR's and CDRW's. The format I have used is mostly SVCD and XVCD and they play perfectly on my VCR and TV. They do not always play on other peoples so I am considering burning to DVD in future. The one I made in Combined DVD and Image format was terrible. Both the pictures and sound were jerky. My latest problem is when I played them via a computer and projector. The sequences which used a lot of pan and zoom were jerky. Would going to DVD format on DVD disks, which would generate more frames, solve the problem?

Regarding the jitteriness, are you using the default motion effects, or did you select the custom option?
Are they jittery when you preview too?
Did you try the highest quality encoding option?

Posted - Nov 23 2009 : 02:46:02 Thanks for the info. I have only recently bought a DVD burner when my CD burner wore out. When I was using CD's I saved the slideshows to my hard disk first and then copied them to the CD. In this way I could get several slide shows on one disk. Will this still work with DVDs ?

Use DVD disks with a DVD burner and choose the DVD format on step 2 of the Burn Dics Wizard. Also on step 3 under Display Option>Output Quality pick Highest.
