1. Not really a new topic - I had this problem once before! Burned to disc successfully but get a "disk incompatible" on my DVD player when I try to play it. DVD Machine is compatible but there is some small glitch in the way I am burning. Would appreciate if you could refresh my memory.
2. Also I wonder if there is some way that you could index the forums so one can readily find an answer to their question.
3. Did you get anywhere with my .dpg problem - it has happened again!

Posted - Dec 03 2009 : 09:23:30 Hi Cort As I said I managed to burn successfully using Nero and it works perfectly now - I was using Memorex disks this time but the first time I had this problem I used a "smartbuy" (trade name) purchased from my usual computer store. I will use Nero in future until I am able to resolve this problem. Hugh McLachlan

Posted - Dec 02 2009 : 00:27:42 Hi Cort
Have you investigated the players to see if they have any known compatibility issues:
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
Here are some things you should try (in order of priority): - Experiment with different types and brands of disks - Go into View>Options, Other, Advanced and change the DVD MPEG Audio Setting - Try using the option in DVD PixPlay to output the slideshow files to your hard disk and then burn them with your own burning software (in case DVD PixPlay has an incompatibility with your burner). Instructions are at: www.xequte.com/support/pixplayfaq.html#2

Posted - Dec 01 2009 : 14:14:54 I have had this same problem with DVD player compatibility issues. I was not able to play the DVD-R in certain players but it would play just fine in a cheap portable player. These players that it would not work on will definitely play other DVD-R disks.

Posted - Nov 04 2009 : 08:16:41 Thanks for your reply Nigel - in answer to your questions:
1. I am using 3.35. Yes burned in Nero as DVD on same brand of DVD disk. I had the same problem last year; the disk would not play on my "high" end DVD Panasonic player/recorder BUT would play on my "el cheapo" DVD player at the cottage - go figure!
2. Found the search button - I had been going directly to the DVD PixPlay discussion forum.
3. Looking forward to getting the latest update, this is a great program and as I said before your customer response is great!!!
Regards

Posted - Nov 02 2009 : 19:51:43 Hi Hugh
1. I note you said you resolved this in:
http://www.xequte.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2556
Are you using v3.35? Did you burn in DVD format on the same type of DVD disks?
2. There's a search available on the top right
3. It's sitting in my DVD PixPlay Inbox. We're working on an update at the moment (which will progress much faster once we get the current project finished next week) and will look into the issue then.
