Now that I've done my first 2 complete slideshows I have a few suggestions for new features / improvements I'd like to be considered for future versions.

Any feedback or comments would be appreciated.

1. Image Motion

a) Split the single drop down box into 5 separate boxes, namely, "Pan from...", "Zoom in to...", "Zoom out from...", "Full Zoom in to...", "Full Zoom out from..."

This would make selection easier, rather than having to scroll down a very long list.

b) Preceed each option with a number, i.e. "1 - Slideshow Default", "2 - Pan from Top Left to Bottom Right" etc. to help remember your preferred choice ( could be particularly helpful for non-English speaking users ).

c) When the slideshow is being previewed and a random motion is being chosen automatically, how about a key press / mouse click for assigning this random effect to the frame if you like the look of it. Sometimes a particular motion works well. This would save having to remember it and the frame number then edit the motion manually after previewing.

d) When previewing have an option to display the name of the chosen motion.

e) A preview of the chosen motion in the small image window below "Slideshow Properties".

2. Transition

Similar comments to Image Motion.

3. Background Music

a) The ability to add a silent period ( of editable duration ) between sound files so that a song can be sequenced to start at a chosen frame.

b) A "Stop Sound File" button below the "Play Sound File" button.

c) As well as the sound file name and duration how about some info as to which frame it will begin at.

4. Thumbnail Size

When setting Thumbnail Size in Options have a system for keeping the aspect ratio fixed when changing height or width.

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris

1A. Mmmm, it would probably be easier to navigate, but would be confusing from a UI perspective (one option chosen from five different locations).

1B. It's not really a common UI practice to number combo box selections

1C. That's a good idea. I'll add that in a coming update.

1D. Also a good idea

1E. I'm not sure how many windows we can fit in there. What we will probably do is when you change motion effects in the main window it will be displayed in the current frame preview box

3A. Yes, that is planned. At the moment you can do it "manually" by using the 1 second silence file in the DVD PixPlay program folder

3B. We will shortly make the Play Sound File change to Stop Sound File when music is playing

3C. Much better handling of sound file timing is planned

4. That is a good point! It should generally lock to 4x3.
