Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 07:15:36 I have a Kodak Easyshare camera that takes lovely pics and video clips. However, whatever I try I can't get to make a DVD that will play through my DVD player on the TV. I've set camera to PAL setting. The clips seem to be saved as .mov files though, and although they will record and playback perfectly through the computer they won't play on the TV, even though still photos do. Any help gratefully received. |

Posted - Aug 24 2009 : 08:43:36 THanks Jim! YOu have given me more sense and help in a few sentences than I've got from any of the shops or technical support sections over months! I am just downloading a program from your suggestions and I'm hoping for success this time!

DVD PIXPLAY does not use .mov format.
You should be able to download a program to convert MOV files from:
http://www.videohelp.com/
Standard AVI or MPEG are both fine. You might prefer to output to MPEG, becuase then there is no risk you are not using an obscure AVI format that DVD PixPlay does not support.
Nigel tested some great (and free) online apps for converting MOV files to MPEG so you can use them in your DVD PixPlay projects:
Media Convert (50MB Limit):
http://media-convert.com
Zamzar (100MB Limit):
http://www.zamzar.com
